| Describe an achievement that best demonstrates your resilience, initiative or leadership. | The achievement that best demonstrates my resilience and initiative was graduating with a first class honors from the university of Ghana. This achievement was the result of hardwork, discipline and the ability to remain focused despite the many challenges in my legal education. | ||||||||

However what distinguishes an exceptional lawyer is commitment to continuous learning. An exceptional lawyer does not become comfortable with what they already know but actively seek to keep abreast with new legal developments. | ||||||||

How did you respond? | During my internship, I was advised to pay closer attention to structure and clarity of my legal expressions when drafting legal documents. I then studied examples of well prepared documents. Over time I noticed an improvement in how I draft. | ||||||||

Businesses are now more expected to operate responsibly, transparently and in accordance with the law, and not only make profits. This means corporate lawyers must do more than draft agreements, they must help businesses identify risks, establish governance structures and comply with regulations. | ||||||||

| What would you do? | I would immediately bring it to the attention of the senior lawyer in a respectful and professional manner. I understand that client confidentiality is a duty on every regardless of seniority and so I will respectfully suggest that the document be reviewed before it is sent to correct such mistake. | ||||||||
