Professional Attributes
Describe an achievement that best demonstrates your resilience, initiative or leadership.

Completing my legal education and being called to the Ghana Bar is an achievement I am proud of. Navigating different stages and jurisdictions required resilience, adaptability and initiative while teaching me to stay committed to my goals.

What do you believe distinguishes an exceptional lawyer from a competent lawyer?

A competent lawyer unders the law and applies it effectively. An exceptional lawyer goes beyond just understanding and applying the law but thinks critically, anticipate problems, understands the bigger picture and finds practical solutions for the benefit of the client.

Describe a time you received constructive criticism. How did you respond?

when my supervisor reviewed a draft I prepared and said that while the substance was correct, my writing could be more concise and precise. I took the feedback and worked on eliminating unnecessary words and improving the structure of my work.

Commercial AwarenessBusinesses increasingly expect lawyers to provide commercially practical solutions not merely legal opinions.
Tell us about a recent legal, business or economic development that you believe every corporate lawyer should understand.

The growth of digital payments and online businesses is a development every corporate lawyer should understand. As businesses increasingly rely on digital platforms, lawyers must understand the legal issues surrounding data protection, cybersecurity, contracts and consumer protection. This knowledge helps corporate lawyers advise businesses while’s supporting innovation and managing legal risk.

EthicsYou discover that a senior lawyer has mistakenly included confidential information belonging to another client in a document that is about to be sent.
What would you do?

I would politely bring it to the senior lawyers attention before the document is sent. I would offer to assist in removing the confidential information and ensure that the corrected document is approved before it is sent.
